Remember about safety
A single-acting actuator was used in the device. It is only designed to lift the load up / down in one direction. The actuator has no safety catches that could support the weight.

What does it mean for you?
Once the load is lifted, additional support should be provided as soon as possible. The device may not be used as a support for car weight.

Why shouldn’t the weight rest on the jack?
The weight of the lifted element being held in the raised position will lead to inevitable wear of the actuator. This can cause the actuator to lower. Pick up the car and support it on trestles.
